vegetarian recipes


urad whole (ulundhu):1/2cup
rice flour:3tbsp
salt to taste
pepper powder:2tsp
onions:1 big chopped

#soak and grind the urad into a semi dough consistensy (not too liquid like batter, nor too thick like dough)
#sprinkle water while grinding
#add rice flour to the grounded batter
#add pepper powder and salt
#add chopped onions and mix it well to the batter
#add enough oil in a pan for deep frying
#make small rounds from the batter and slightly flat it in a wet plastic sheet (just like the usual vadai)
#make a small hole in the middle of the vadai and deep fry in the hot oil
#serve along with hot hot tea and ejoyyy the tea time

Actually i don't take coffee,tea any. By your presentation, felt like taking one vada and have a sip of coffee/tea from the monitor.

Uddin Vadai in Kannada! I love them.It's little hard to grind very thick in the blender but I do make somehow.Looks very delicious.

I am waiting for the New Year to be over so I can go back to my Indian cooking.

oh ok uddin vadai, actually if u have notised in usha blog she has prepared the same vada but it is flat and cripy and usually we put that as a mala to lord Hanuman
what i made is somewhat equal to vadai that we usually make.
will definetly drop in by ur blog
