SOMAAS (SWEET)

INGRIDIENTS:

FOR OUTTER COVERING:
maida:2 cups
baking soda: one pinch
salt:one pinch
ghee:1tsp
water to make it to a dough

FOR STUFFING:
coconut:1 cup
roasted bengal gram dhal (pottu kadalai):one cup (powdered)
sugar:1cup(powdered)
cardamom:1 to 2(powdered)
cashew nuts: 9 to 10 p (cut to small sizes)

PREPARATION:

FOR PREPARING THE DOUGH:
# mix maida flour with a pinch of salt and baking soda
#mix the ingredients well and then add the ghee
#now slowly add inthe water, n bring it to a chapathi dough consistency
#keep it aside

FOR PREPARING THE STUFFING:
#mix all the dry ingredients together(all powdered)
#and finally add the cashew


#take a small sized dough and flattern it out thin
#take a spoon full of the stuffing and place it in the middle if the flat dough
# make a semicircle fold and seal the ends with the help of water
#heat oil for deep frying these somaas
#sweet is ready to eat
see to it that the oil is not too hot fry it in medium flame
