AVIAL (serving amount-3)


INGREDIENTS:
raw banana:1/2
potato:1 (medium size)
drumstick: few cut pieces
carrot:1 (medium size)
coconut:1/2 (shredded)
jeera:1/2tsp
curd:2tsp
turmeric powder:1/2tsp
green chilli:1 or 2 (slit half)
salt to taste

FOR SEASONING:
mustard:1/2tsp
oil:1tsp
curry leaves:few

PREPARATION:
#cut the vegetables to small sizes and boil in one cup of water along with green chilies , salt and turmeric powder.
#in a kadai add oil, when the oil is hot add mustard , allow it to splutter and add curry leaves.
#grind coconut and jeera together
#add the grounded paste to the cooked vegetables
#allow it to boil for 2 to 3 mins, add salt if required
#finally add curd , mix it well, boil it for another 2 mins
#enjoy with rice

I have come to love Avial,which is a Kerala dish,right? Looks and tastes wonderful. Although I don't get drumsticks, I can cook with other veggies. Super recipe,thank you....

u r always first to comment :).yes asha it is a kerala dish, we do get drumsticks in frozen but i add it for taste sake, frozen is not that good:( to taste
