DIWALI SPECIAL: RIBBON PAKODA


RIBBON PAKODA

INGREDIENTS:

RICE flour:1 cup
gram flour:1/2 cup
urad dhal flour:1/4 cup
salt to taste
asafoetida:1 pinch
butter:1tbsp

TO GRIND:
dry red chilly:4 to 5
garlic:4 to 5 pod

PREPARATION:
#soak the chilies in hot water for an hour
#mix the dry ingredients together
#grind the dry chilies with garlic
#strain the paste
#mix strained water to the flour and mix it well
#add required amount of water and make it to a soft dough(softer than chapathi dough)
#put a small portion of the dough to the tubular press(achchu)
#heat oil in a kadai n press it into the hot oil
#make sure the heat is low or medium
#deep fry the pakodas
